Disclaimer.

1. Who we are. This website, thestandardtrader.com, and its content, tools, and services are operated by Lobiscus Holdings LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as The Standard Trader (“The Standard Trader,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Your use of the site is subject to this Disclaimer.
2. Educational only — not advice. Everything provided through this website—including videos, written content, free tools, and one-to-one educational sessions—is for educational and informational purposes only and reflects one trader’s personal experience and opinions.
It is not financial, investment, trading, tax, or legal advice and is not a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any financial instrument.
One-to-one sessions may take account of a client’s own trading records, behavior, habits, and process. They do not provide personalized recommendations about whether to enter, exit, hold, size, reduce, increase, or otherwise modify any particular trade or investment position.
We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or commodity trading advisor. Using the site or participating in a session does not create an advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, agency, or account-management relationship.
3. Trading is risky. Trading and investing carry a substantial risk of loss and are not suitable for everyone.
Leveraged and margined products—including futures, forex, and certain options positions—can produce rapid and substantial losses. Depending on the product and position, losses may exceed the initial margin, premium, deposit, or amount allocated to the trade.
Only trade with capital you can afford to lose.
4. No guarantees. We do not promise profits, improvement, consistency, behavioral change, or any particular result, and we make no earnings claims.
Any results, examples, experiences, or observations shown are individual and are not necessarily typical. They do not guarantee or predict what another person will experience.
Past performance does not indicate future results.
5. Mathematical, hypothetical, and simulated material. The Edge Simulator and Edge Experience are mathematical probability tools. They generate random sequences using assumptions or presets selected by the user to illustrate probability, variance and distributions.
They do not model a particular market, trading strategy or account and are not presented as records or projections of trading performance. They do not predict what any trader, strategy or account will achieve.
Pitch Check calculates the expectancy and break-even figures implied by the inputs provided. Its descriptive bands reflect The Standard Trader's working interpretation of how much evidence a claim of that apparent strength should require. Those bands are not statistically derived boundaries or industry standards, and they do not verify or disprove any person's trading.
Other content may include modeled, backtested, hypothetical, simulated, or illustrative figures. Unless expressly identified as actual results, those figures do not represent real trades or real market execution. They may be developed with the benefit of hindsight and may not fully account for timing, liquidity, spreads, slippage, commissions, fees, execution, human behavior or other market conditions.
No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown.
Where actual results are shown, they reflect one individual’s personal experience over a particular period. They are not necessarily typical and do not guarantee or predict future performance.
Additional disclosures may be displayed beside a particular tool, chart, example, or performance presentation and should be read together with this Disclaimer.
6. Your decisions, your responsibility. All trading and investment decisions are your own and are taken entirely at your own risk.
You are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to trade; selecting instruments, direction, entries, exits, stops, targets, and position sizes; placing and supervising orders; and determining what level of risk is appropriate for you.
Independently verify information before acting and obtain advice from an appropriately licensed financial, investment, legal, or tax professional where needed.
Trading stress can reflect or worsen serious personal difficulties. We do not provide medical, counseling, psychotherapy, or mental-health services. Anyone experiencing those difficulties should consult an appropriately licensed professional.
7. Paid one-to-one educational sessions. One-to-one sessions are educational performance-coaching and mentorship services. They are not managed accounts, a signal service, or personalized transaction or position-management recommendations.
Live-market observation may be used primarily to observe and assess the client’s behavior, decision-making process, execution habits, rule adherence, and responses under uncertainty.
It is not used to analyze or manage the client’s open positions. We do not direct entries, exits, stops, targets, position sizes, or trade management and will not tell a client whether to buy, sell, hold, close, increase, reduce, or otherwise modify a position.
We never trade on a client’s behalf, access or accept credentials for a client’s account, place or transmit orders, exercise trading authority, or accept custody of client funds or assets.
Payment for a session is a fee for an educational service. It is not an investment, trading deposit, or contribution of capital. We do not accept money or assets to trade or invest on a client’s behalf.
Paid sessions are offered only to adults who reside in the United States and will be physically located in the United States during the session.
Paid sessions are governed by the separate Client Services Agreement accepted during the booking process.
8. Affiliate and paid links. Some links may be affiliate or paid links. If you make a purchase through one of those links, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Where applicable, the relevant link or recommendation will also disclose that we may receive a commission.
We only link to products or services that we genuinely use or consider relevant. The availability of a commission does not determine what we choose to mention or recommend.
9. Tools, figures, and third-party links. The free tools on this site are provided “as is” for general educational and informational purposes.
Any calculation, position size, risk amount, market level, statistic, conversion rate, or other figure shown may contain an error, rely on incomplete information, or become outdated without notice. Independently verify all outputs before relying on them.
Position sizes produced by a calculator reflect estimated planned risk only. Actual losses may be larger because of spreads, slippage, market gaps, commissions, fees, liquidity, execution, currency conversion or other conditions.
Third-party links and references are provided for convenience and do not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or guarantee. Conduct your own due diligence before using a third-party product or service.
10. No warranties; limitation of liability. The site, its content, and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lobiscus Holdings LLC doing business as The Standard Trader, together with its members, representatives, contractors, and affiliates, will not be liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of data, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the use of the site, its content, or its tools.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.
11. Governing law and updates. This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The version posted on this page applies to use of the site from the time it is posted. Continued use following an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Ownership and reuse. The tools, writing and artwork on this site are original work. Please ask before reproducing or republishing them.
We make no claim over the underlying mathematics. Probability, expectancy, variance and position sizing belong to everyone, and nothing here restricts you from using what you learn in your own trading, or from explaining it in your own words. What is original is how these ideas have been built, presented and written here.
